The Board of Directors of Blue Hill Cemetery, Inc. ask that you comply with the following Rules and Regulations:

RESTRICTIONS: The following items ARE NOT ALLOWED

ROCK GARDENS PLANT
FLAG HANGERS
STATUES – of any type
ROSE BUSHES
FENCES/GARDEN BORDERS
SUNFLOWERS
FLOWERING BUSHES, AZALEAS
WHITE STONE or PEBBLES

PLASTIC SIGNS

WOODEN, PLASTIC OR STEEL CROSSES
NO LIGHTS, CANDLES or VIGIL LIGHTS
BIRD HOUSES – See Superintendent
DO NOT HANG or ATTACH ANYTHING TO TREES
NO HOMEMADE TEMPORARY NAME PLATES

(Temporary Name Plates can be provided by the Cemetery
for a limited placement period)
The Cemetery reserves the right to remove any of the
above items found on your Lot and/or unauthorized
items not meeting with Cemetery Specifications.

MONUMENTS

If you do not presently have a monument and wish to have one placed on your Lot please call or stop into the Cemetery Office first for proper restrictions. The Cemetery will lay out and install all Foundations after all charges for such are paid. Monuments are not allowed on single grave lots. All Monument Lots must be paid in full before installation of a memorial. If you would like to arrange to have your monument cleaned please inquire at Office.

FLOWERS

GARDENS – You must have a monument in order to plant a garden. The Garden must be placed no more than 1 ft out from the base of the monument and no longer than the base. All gardens must be removed by November 1st. GARDENS MAY NOT BE PLANTED ON THE SIDE OR BACK OF THE MONUMENT.

If there is a question as to what or where to plant, please check with the Office. The Cemetery will correct, regrade any unauthorized or over planting.

SHRUBS – Shrubs are allowed on either side of the Monument (2 per lot), must be Evergreen like a Yew or an Alberta Spruce. All shrubs must be kept neat and trimmed by lot owners. If not, the Cemetery will remove the shrubs and there will be a charge. If you would like to arrange with the Cemetery for trimming of shrubs or planting of Summer Gardens, please inquire at Office.

MEMORIAL DAY – All potted plants will be removed 1 week following Memorial Day.

WINTER – All winter arrangements will be removed in March. Christmas Trees,
oversized wreaths and plastic figures ARE NOT ALLOWED.

FUNERAL FLOWERS – The Cemetery will remove Funeral Flowers 3 days following
the interment. The Cemetery is not responsible for items left on Lots
