Blue Hill Cemetery offers a variety of lot options to honor your loved one with the dignity and care they deserve.

Interment is the in-ground placement of a casket or urn. When you purchase an interment right at Blue Hill Cemetery, you are purchasing the Right of Placement — the right to inter a loved one within your designated lot. Blue Hill Cemetery retains ownership of the property itself.

We offer lots across several distinct sections of the cemetery, each with its own style of memorialization — from traditional upright stone monuments to flat bronze markers and dedicated veterans’ plans.

A separate price list details all costs associated with interment rights, ancillary services, and available packages.

Important to Know

  • The purchase price covers the Right of Placement only — it does not include interment service charges
  • An Outer Burial Container is required for all casket interments
  • A Right of Second Interment may be added to most graves, allowing two interments per grave
  • Foundation and Setting charges apply to the installation of monuments and markers

Garden of Honor

Veterans
Memorial Park

A dedicated section honoring those who served, with pre-arranged plans that simplify the process for veterans and their families.

  • Every honorably discharged veteran is entitled to a bronze memorial marker at no charge through the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs
  • We coordinate ordering the veteran’s marker — a copy of the DD-214 discharge document is required
  • All-inclusive plans available for veterans and their families

Veterans’ Plans — Garden of Honor

The Garden of Honor offers pre-arranged, all-inclusive plans that bundle interment rights, Outer Burial Containers, bronze markers, granite frames, and foundation and setting charges. Plans must be pre-purchased as presented and are designed to make planning as straightforward as possible for veterans’ families.

Veterans Single Plan

Single grave for one — includes interment right, vault, and veteran’s marker with vase, granite frame, foundation & setting

Veterans Family Plan — Single Grave

One grave for two interments — includes both vaults, veteran’s marker, and a matching bronze marker for the non-veteran

Veterans Family Plan — Two Graves

Side-by-side lot for two — one burial per grave, both vaults, veteran’s marker, and matching bronze marker

Additional Notes

  • Blue Hill Cemetery retains ownership of all property; purchasers hold the Right of Interment only.

  • Interment service fees are separate from the Right of Placement; see our Interment Committal Service Fees for details.
  • An Outer Burial Container is required for all casket interments to maintain the integrity of the interment over time.

  • Foundation and Setting charges apply to all upright monument and flat bronze marker installations.
